City Construct – ScrumSimulation

Project Management Simulation

City Construct – ScrumSimulation Project Management Simulation

Our client recently purchased a piece of land to build a new city there: Pink Riverside. Everything still needs to be done: roads, houses, public facilities. I think the client also mentioned a life-size statue of himself. The residents are eager to start their lives in Pink Riverside. Will your team manage to finish the city in time?

The Business Simulation Game

City Construct is a business simulation game based on Agile Scrum, designed by Pink Elephant itself. The great strength of this game is that all elements of Agile work are covered. Scrum Of Scrums, Daily Stand Ups, Retrospectives, it is all necessary to ultimately satisfy the customer.

The client will become the new mayor and he has appointed a Product Owner to build the city according to his wishes. However, nothing is set in stone yet! The teams work together with the Product Owner on a Product Backlog and a joint Definition of Done. They will have to plan their own sprints, divide and execute the work and continue to communicate well with each other. This interactive game is played with multiple teams that have to work together “remotely”. Each round ends in a Retrospective, after which improvements are immediately transferred to the next round. At the end of the project, when the city has been built, a project evaluation takes place and all learning points are listed.

Target audience

The business simulation game City Construct is intended to provide insight into the elementary processes, roles and artifacts of Scrum, and is therefore particularly suitable for:

  • Scrum Masters
  • Product Owners
  • Project managers
  • development teams
  • Project teams
