Rikkii Richman MBA is a CIO/IT Director and Technology Consultant with three decades of experience in the delivery of business-critical enterprise IT services across many industries and sectors, including Online Retail, Professional Services (Legal, Banking), Business Intelligence, Publishing and Events, E-Billing, and Supply Chain Management.
Rikkii began his IT career in the late 1980s as an IT Operator, supporting IBM mainframes and mid-range systems for global logistics company Tibbett & Britten Group PLC. Since then, he has fulfilled numerous technology roles, including Database Administrator various desktop, network, and infrastructure support roles, and IT Service Delivery Management on a global scale.
Rikkii’s first UK and EMEA IT Director role was at global law firm Dentons LLP, where he led the IT integration of two major law firms across the UK, EMEA and USA regions, also leading them to gain successful ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certifications. Since then, Rikkii has held CIO/IT Director roles for the Informa Group PLC, Eurotax Glass’s, Autovista Group, and Office Depot Europe. He was also a CIO advisor to Standard Bank, where he designed and implemented a Target Operating Model for its joint venture with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China to form ICBC Standard Bank, which successfully launched in 2015.
Rikkii gained an MBA with Distinction in 2015 from London Metropolitan University’s London Guildhall Faculty of Business & Law. Having been successfully trained by Pink Elephant, he also holds the ITIL v2 Manager’s Certificate in IT Service Management (red badge holder). Rikkii endorses ITIL’s latest advancement, ITIL 4, in particular the ITIL 4 Strategic Leader certification. Strategic Leader, which consists of two modules (ITIL 4 Direct, Plan & Improve and ITIL 4 Leader Digital & IT Strategy), provides a clear understanding of how IT influences and directs business strategy, and is aligned to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, or Industry 4.0 as it is known, which continues with the ongoing automation of traditional manufacturing and industrial practices – using modern smart technology – which is helping to accelerate operational efficiency and enterprise-wide growth.
Through Rikkii’s skills and experience, he has developed a reputation for joining organisations and quickly establishing an understanding of business and IT priorities, creating strategies and implementing plans of operational change to quickly build confidence and scalability into IT services, IT capabilities, and overall IT operational performance.
In recent consulting initiatives, Rikkii has undertaken reviews of various organisations’ IT operational designs and functions, covering people, process, and technology, and has successfully created and executed strategies to transform each. This has resulted in positioning IT departments to deliver cost- effective, more robust, scalable, and secure systems that align to business goals.
Recent initiatives have included: designing and implementing a Target Operating Model for a joint venture between two major banks, implementing a successful group-wide and pan-European digital transformation for a company based in the Netherlands, supporting a major ERP transformation from legacy technology to the cloud as part of the organisation’s broader BPR and digital transformation initiatives. Rikkii is also a regular contributor to LinkedIn, often posting his thoughts and insights into current technology trends and topics including: digital transformation, target operating models, Agile, AI, ML, Automation, Big Data, Analytics, and IoT.
